Booking Policies & Terms Summary
Booking with me is easy — and I want you to feel totally across everything before you lock in your date. Here's a plain-English rundown of how it all works.
Securing Your Date 🗓️
To lock in your date, a $250 booking deposit is required. This deposit is non-refundable and takes your date off the market — so once it's paid, that night is yours.
Your booking isn't confirmed until your deposit is received and you've got a written confirmation from me. Enquiries and conversations don't hold a date, so if you're keen — get in quick!
Payment 💸
Final Balances
Your final balance is due 14 days before your event — I'll send you a reminder so nothing sneaks up on you. Accepted payment methods: Bank transfer, Credit Card, PayPal, Stripe, Apple Pay, Google Pay
Discounts
Let us know if you are willing to pay within 48 hours of receiving your invoice and you'll score a 5% discount on your balance. Quick payers get rewarded!
Late Payments
Late payments (after the 14-day mark) will incur a 10% late fee on the outstanding balance, plus 1.5% per week until settled. I'm always happy to chat if something comes up — just reach out before the due date.
Travel 🚗
I'm based in Brisbane and travel within 30km is included in your quote (which covers the Brisbane area) — no hidden extras. For events beyond 30km (which covers outside Brisbane (i.e Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast etc.), a travel fee will be added and clearly outlined in your quote before you commit to anything.
For regional or interstate events, travel, accommodation, and meal costs will be discussed and quoted upfront. No surprises.
Cancellations & Rescheduling 💔
Life happens — and I genuinely get it. Your day is important to me, and I'll always do my best to work with you if plans change.
Need to reschedule? Every booking includes one free date change — just request it in writing at least 30 days before your event and we'll sort it out subject to availability. If your new date falls in a peak period, peak period pricing will apply.
The $250 deposit is non-refundable in all circumstances once we have confirmed booking — it secures your date exclusively and can't be returned once paid unless we are unable to secure your date or dj (which means your booking is not confirmed)
If you do need to cancel completely, here's exactly how it works:
Last-Minute Bookings ⚡
Got a last-minute event? I love the energy — but a rush fee applies to cover the expedited prep and scheduling. Here's how it works:
Booking within 7 days (but more than 48 hours) → 15% rush fee on top of your total booking fee
Booking within 48 hours → 30% rush fee on top of your total booking fee
Rush bookings also require full payment upfront at the time of booking — the standard 14-day payment window doesn't apply for last-minute requests. Subject to availability, so don't wait too long!
Peak Period Pricing 🎉
Some dates are just busier than others — and pricing reflects that. Here's my three-tier peak period structure, always disclosed upfront in your quote so there are zero surprises:
Tier 1 — Silly Season (November & December), Long Weekends & Public Holidays → +30%
Tier 2 — Christmas Eve & Christmas Day (24–25 December) → +40%
Tier 3 — New Year's Eve (31 December) → +50%
Surcharges are calculated on your base booking fee and are never stacked — where dates overlap, the higher tier applies. Peak period pricing is always disclosed upfront in your quote before you commit to anything.
Overtime 🕛
Your booking covers the agreed set time in your confirmation. If the dance floor is still going and you want to keep the party alive, overtime is available at $200 per hour — just ask on the night and we'll sort it out!
Full Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings and will be provided with your Booking Confirmation. By paying your deposit, you agree to be bound by those terms.
